  • The sociable atmosphere of the rambling estate

The place

The Wisteria Suite is one of several spaces at the inimitable Fingals, the estate on which a scattering of mill buildings and old houses have been converted into an eclectic handful of places to stay. It’s a sociable place, where you’ll watch the tennis players from the balcony, wave across the pool or maybe even end up in a croquet match, but there are plenty of peaceful spots as well. There’s woodland to walk through and longer trails that lead along the banks of the Dart and even to the little ferry that can carry you over to Greenway. Owners Richard and Sheila can point out all their favourite dog-friendly beaches and locals, including the famous Ferry Boat Inn of Dittisham, where great views and food along with a warm welcome for all on four legs and two can be guaranteed.
