Why we love it

Straight out of the gate onto Dartmoor’s 362 sq miles of woodland, moorland, rivers and streams, with an outdoor hose to wash the paws off when you get home

What you'll love

Dogs will love

  • The enclosed field next door to run around in
  • Towels, bowls and treats waiting on arrival
  • Meeting the owners’ friendly (and totally deaf) dog

Humans will love

  • Colourful contemporary design
  • Incredible views from the patio
  • The copper bath in the garden

The place

It might have been a tractor shed long ago, but now it’s a crafted conversion, wearing its style with a casual air that makes you feel instantly at home. The hillside location puts you on a level with the soaring birds and Dartmoor is laid out invitingly in front of you. When there’s no livestock around (the owners will let you know), your dogs can roam free around the farm, but there’s a dedicated field next door where they play safely at any time. Explore miles of woods and moors, wash off boots and paws at the outdoor tap, then slump into the sofa and light the wood burner, or run the outdoor bath and finish the night in a daze of pleasant exhaustion.
