  • Sinking into the outdoor Chesterfield sofas by the river

The place

Waking up here’s a luxurious affair, when you get to stretch your legs out in a four-poster bed and go downstairs to greet your well-slept dog in their very own Dog Hotel! Start the day right, with breakfast at the table on the covered deck, whilst you plan your activities – exploring nearby Kielder, one of the many little forests, or country houses. Or if you’re feeling a little lazy (and the dog’s had enough bounding around), you can lounge about prepping pizzas for the Ooni Oven all afternoon, with a jealous dog by your feet. That, or try and play giant Jenga with them (you might have to explain the rules a few times). Evening is where it gets really special, however, with a record player for a little dinnertime music, and of course, a four-poster bed to look forward to getting back into.
