The place

Gatecroft Barn is the perfect spot to hunker down and enjoy the vast beauty of the North Pennines AONB. With room for four, it’s perfect for families, or even a couple of couples, looking to explore the wild open spaces of the Pennines. It’s effortlessly easy to get out and explore, with walks straight from the front door in all directions. Just grab the ever-eager hound and get adventuring – but if you want to go further afield, there’s the Northumberland National Park, Solway Coast AONB, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks all in easy reach. Chances are, you’ll struggle to leave, with a BBQ on the deck for whiling away the afternoon, and a spa – complete with a six-person hot tub, sauna and wet room.
