The place
Not far from a scenic bend of the River Wye – Pheasant is tucked into a private little corner, with views stretching out onto the hilly horizon. This is a great spot to take a few days with the dog to recoup and relax away from the city. You’re not far from the very best of The Wye Valley, with Ross-on-Wye, Hereford and The Forest of Dean all within a half-hour drive. Whether you and the hound are in the mood for some pub lunches in the city – or some mad sprints through the woods, there’s something for active or lazy days out for the two and four legged. But there’s almost too much on site to go anywhere else. When you’re not having a lie in and enjoying the views from your picture window, there’s facials, massages, wildflower walks, foraging, and even paddleboarding lessons to keep you busy. There’s even a secret beach to watch the river go by, if you’re not busy kicking back in the wood-fired hot tub that is!
