Why we love it
Perfectly positioned, beautifully made – Rookham View Lodge is the ideal spot to explore the West country, or just cosy up looking out on spectacular views
"A little peace of heaven"
Absolutely amazing. A little piece of heaven tucked away in the quiet. The Lodge was stunning with all the facilities you would need. Views were breathtaking, plenty of lovely walks from the door or 5 minutes drive away. Honestly could not fault it!

The place
Staying here you’ll feel your stresses melt away, as you take in the vast sweeping views of the flatlands that stretch for miles around Glastonbury. Load up on supplies from local markets for meals out on the deck. Spend lazy afternoons on the sofa, book in one hand, and tousling your dog sleeping in sunbeams below, or enjoy watching your four-legged friend gallop ahead on the many walks straight from the front door.

- Stockhill Wood, 4-minute drive, or 40-minute walk. Populated with tall pine trees, the woods here are magical to explore. You will love being led around by your dog’s keen nose.
- The Queen Victoria Inn, 5-minute drive. At this dog-friendly pub you'll find incredible food, local ales, and at Christmas, they're famous for their impressive festive decoration display.
- Wells, 6-minute drive or 1-hour walk. Famed for its incredible Cathedral (dog friendly) as well as the Bishop’s Palace and Gardens (dogs welcome in the gardens). And catch the market on every Wednesday and Saturday.
