Why we love it

With a firepit for sundown, an outdoor shower for sandy paws, and an enclosed courtyard for al fresco dinners – it’s Cornish heaven

What you'll love

  • Cuddling with you on the sofa
  • Trotting about in the enclosed courtyard
  • Rinsing their sandy paws under the outdoor shower

Humans will love

  • Toasting marshmallows on the firepit
  • Walking to Prussia Cove from the door
  • Feeling like they're abroad in the sub-tropical grounds

The place

Tucked out of the way, this little Cornish cottage is a slice of the quiet life for you and your dog. There’s no doubt you’ll wander out (or be dragged out on the lead) to the many local beaches, market towns and quiet fishing villages to explore – finding stunning vistas, spots to refuel at seaside cafés or incredible ingredients to cook up back at your modern kitchen. This is the perfect place to start and end the day, with a quiet spot to eat breakfast out in the sunshine, with the greenery rippling in the morning breeze, then explore all day and come home to watch the sun arc dip down over the horizon, with a glass of something cool in hand. If you’re not in the mood to go far, you could just stay in, cooking on the BBQ, taking little walks about the locale, or picking up a book to lazily read on the sofa with a sleepy dog on your toes.
