Why we love it

Explore the endless walks nearby, eat al fresco by the river and curl up by the wood burner at night

"Lots to sniff and explore"

What makes this place special is the view and location overlooking the river and beyond down the valley to the mountain Moel Siabod. Spacious outdoor area with beautifully maintained garden. Cosy, but spacious cottage. Everything you need to feel comfortable. Close to lots of stunning woodlands and lots to sniff and explore!

The place

There are few places in the world, let alone the UK, as beautiful as the Eryri National Park, and you’ll find this dog-friendly cottage sat just inside it. The cottage looks like something out of a storybook with a river and forested hill surrounding it. There are plenty of walks nearby and it's just a half hour’s drive to the Yr Wyddfa, so you won't be short of adventures with the dog. It's easy to get your fill of nature here, whether that means going on big or small adventures. With so much within Eryri, you could chase after the more thrill-seeking activities as easily as you could simply take forest walks and exploring the small market towns. Once you (and the dog) are fully tuckered out, it’s time to retire back to your place and wash off the exertion in a nice, relaxing bath – and for the hounds, a rinse with the Mud Daddy!

In the neighbourhood

  • Walk from the door: Take the hour’s walk to Llanrwst to the north and explore the town for its incredible history and National Trust spaces.
  • Hangin’ Pizzeria, four minute drive. Not just the most stylish spot for pizza around for miles, but they also donate a percentage of their profit to charity. Pop in for high-quality food and a good time.
  • Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), 30 minute drive. A pretty big hill you might’ve heard of is just around the corner. In fact, so big, it’s a mountain. Maybe one for the larger breeds.
  • The Alpine Coffee Shop, four minute drive. With homemade, free-range produce, a breakfast and lunch menu, and a shop on top – it’s an unmissable local winner.
  • Betws-y-Coed, four minute drive. With great walks along the river, spots to shop and grab a bite to eat. If you're here at the right time of year, watch the salmon jumping up the falls!
