    The place

There’s a real joy to the way the dairy history has been woven into this space, with milk churns and collection jars forming everything from seating to lighting. Even touches like the cocktail bar and the record player have been incorporated with style and the hot tub, hammock and pizza oven outside make this the perfect place for a few days of relaxing indoor/outdoor life. The welcome hamper will give both you and the dog a taste of great local produce and then you can decide how to enjoy this stunning region. If you’re the active type, then take on biking trails and stunning coastal walks, with distillery visits and fantastic food at smoky locals to cap the day or provide some more laid-back entertainment.

    • The Whisky Trail (Glenfiddich), 40-minute drive: Not so much an official tour as an acknowledgement of the fact that there are enough distilleries in the area that you can hop from distillery to distillery
    • The Bin Forest, 15-minute drive: The Bin Forest offers a series of short, scenic walking trails named after its highest point, The Bin Hill. Along the trails, you’ll find majestic grand fir trees – some nearly 200 years old – grown from seeds collected by renowned Scottish botanist David Douglas

    • Cullen Beach, 36-minute drive: Head on over to this sandy stretch for an ear-flapping sprint on the coast. Head further inland and take in the aqueduct on a grassy stroll
