Why we love it
This beautiful little cottage on the Ceredigion coast is the perfect place for two to disappear into the stunning Welsh countryside for a few days
"Brilliant for our nervous Romanian rescue"
It was the first time in years that my partner and I managed to switch off and relax.
The garden is secure, brilliant for our nervous Romanian rescue who spent many hours sun bathing on the decking after walking across meadows, running around the beaches and scaling the coastal paths.

The place
The cosiest of cottages, just 11 minutes from the coast, The Forge is surrounded by patchwork fields in the Ceredigion countryside. It’s not just the obvious things at The Forge that you’ll remember after you leave, like an afternoon resting your eyes by the wood burner or taking a limb-loosening soak in a handmade Japanese dipping tub before bed. It’ll be late-night chats with your partner whilst the dog naps on your toes, under festoon lights, with a glass of something bubbly. It’ll be drawing the veil curtains to the attic boudoir to serve breakfast in bed to your partner. It could be breakfasting al fresco, finding local goodies in the hamper, or chasing your dog down the local trails. Whether it’s obvious or comes as a surprise, you’ll take away much more than you brought with you.
