The place
The Granary has been lovingly restored far beyond its former glory. Once a barn, the beautiful stonework and high ceilings now lend themselves to a relaxing space. There are stunning views across Dartmoor National Park, plenty of dog-friendly spots to visit nearby, and countless walks from the front door. There’s even the coast within easy reach! But if you’re looking to stay close by, you're in for a treat. There's a well-styled living space to pad around in, light and airy with a touch of spa-like comfort. Take a dip in the outdoor bath to relax those tight muscles from hearty hikes with the hound, or head into the bookable sauna to steam away your stress.
In the neighbourhood
- Walk from the door: There's a lovely circular one-hour walk from the farm which involves country lanes and tracks – it’s a very picturesque area. Walking boots or are wellies recommended
- The Dartmoor Inn, a 23-minute drive. Head on over to The Dartmoor Inn for classic pub fare, made with organic, wild and natural produce from small growers and local producers!
- Widemouth Bay, a 40-minute drive. With two miles of wide sandy beach to play on, it’s a great spot to bring the dogs. There are some seasonal restrictions, but Black Rock, at the southern end, is open all year
- The Tamar Trails, a 15-minute drive. There are plenty of walks to take here, and in certain areas the dogs can be let off the lead to explore! Just keep an eye out for the 'on lead' areas
