The place
The Hyde is only half an hour’s drive from Brighton, hidden away amongst the greenery of the High Weald National Landscape. Here, you’ll find your very own serene patch of nature to enjoy in the form of a Shepherd’s Hut perched on the shore of a tiny lake, surrounded by trees. It’s a short drive to the coast to find all Brighton has to offer, shopping, bars, cafés and beaches dotted up and down the coastline to take the dog for a run. And if you head inland, you’ll find endless spots to explore in national parks and landscapes. Back at the hut, you can cook up the local fare either in your small kitchen, or out in the glorious sunshine with a BBQ (probably with a hungry dog begging at your side!). Finish the day with a quick trip around the lake on the rowing boat, or in front of the firepit, watching the sunset.
