Why we love it

A classic country cottage hidden in the South Downs, with an enclosed garden, woodland walks, and a wood burner for cosy nights

What you'll love

Dogs will love

  • Snuffling around the large enclosed garden
  • Woodland walks straight from the door
  • Claiming the spot by the wood burner

Humans will love

  • Being surrounded by the South Downs National Park
  • Spending a day at the dog-friendly vineyard down the road
  • The old stones and beams of a proper cottage

The place

The Little House is a surprisingly spacious, beautifully kept cottage with miles and miles of the South Downs National Park stretching away from the end of the drive. Some gentle modernising means you lack nothing in comfort or style, while the stonework and beams wrap you in traditional country charm. Dogs will find their place by the wood burner in an instant, but when they need to go out, the big enclosed garden is on hand for them to roam and you to sit in peace, with lovely views and nature all around. For longer outings, there are woodland walks, beaches and grand estates nearby, with a Mud Daddy on hand to take care of fur and paws when you get back, maybe with a little added sparkle from a visit to the vineyard down the road.
