    The place

    Spend some time amongst the tree canopy, making deep sighs, whilst your dog does exactly the same. This stunning dog-friendly cabin is found just seven miles south of Bath, where city living is as far away as your troubles. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or celebrating an anniversary or birthday – this is the treat you’re looking for. With gigantic picture windows throughout, it’s bright and airy inside, with wonderful views overlooking nature. Take a decadent afternoon nap in the floating bed – and wake up just in time to see the fairy lights and lanterns come on, illuminating the winding path by the stream.

    You should know

    • Please keep your dog off the bed, but they're welcome on the sofa if you bring a blanket
    • There are hooks to stabilise the hanging bed if needed
    • There are other properties on this site, so you may come across other dog guests. Please lead up when heading out
    • Another place is about 10m away, but trees and shrubs in between keep things private
    • There is active hunting and shooting around a mile away, so be aware if you have a cautious dog
    • Be mindful that the nature of the site is quite open, lead use at owner's discretion
    • Small pond and running stream on site
    • At the Lodge, there is a vertical drop between the ground and the platform that is not enclosed
    • The surrounding woodland is enclosed on two sides by loose barbed wire fencing and trees

    In the neighbourhood

    • Westonbirt Arboretum, 50-minute drive. This is, arguably, one of the most important arboretums in the UK, it holds 2500 species of tree, and two thirds of it is open to dogs!
    • Bath, 20-minute drive. Bath is perfect to explore any time of the year, with so much to see and do, as well as plenty of dog-friendly places to grab a bite to eat.
    • Doghouse in Bradford-on-Avon, 16-minute drive. An award-winning pet shop, with everything and anything to buy your dog, clothes, treats, leads etc – as well as a dog café.
    • The George Inn, six-minute walk. Take the very quick stroll down the road to The George Inn for locally-sourced produce crafted into seasonal dishes! Dogs are welcome in the bar area.
    • Tuckers Grave Inn, a four-minute drive. Head over to Tuckers Grave Inn, a 200-year-old cider house, that regularly hosts music and events – dogs warmly welcomed!
