The place

Surrounded by walks from the front door, The Outbuilding is only ten or so miles from the sea, so you can choose between countryside strolls or coastal hikes whenever you please. But straying too far will feel unnecessary when there’s so much on offer nearby. The cabin itself is large with stunning interiors, made for breezing around, relaxing in the enclosed deck area and luxuriating in a roll-top bath with a good book. With Tenterden and Rye a quick drive away, and dog-friendly Appledore on your doorstep, this is the perfect spot to take a few days nice and easy.

You should know

  • 25 metres from the nearest road, 0.1 metres from neighbouring properties and 100 metres from nearby livestock
  • The Outbuilding is behind the owner's property. You reach the private entrance via a pathway down the side and through the shared garden
  • The owner has a friendly dog that may be in the shared garden. Speak to the owner if you have a nervous dog and need alone time in the garden.
  • Please keep dogs off the furniture and beds - they'll find a comfy spot to settle down in
  • There is a shooting range around two miles away. It's not loud at the cabin but something to be aware if you're taking a nervous dog on local walks
  • Suitable for guests with certain accessibility needs, as the property is entirely on one level and features a walk-in shower. However, the door widths might not be suitable for wheelchair users
