The place
Part of the Brinkburn Manor House Estate, The Stables is a restored stable building near the Gardeners’ Cottages next to the main building. So, you might see the owner’s dogs amble by! At a deep bend of the Coquet River, Brinkburn is uniquely placed in the centre of the Northumberland wild. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of walks, short strolls and lengthy hikes, the possibilities to run wild with your dog are endless. You can plan accordingly, fitting in pit stops or destinations with the variety of towns and villages nearby, popping into dog-friendly pubs or restaurants in the locale to try out their seasonal menus and local produce. Whether you’re looking to run wild with the dog for a few days, or take it slow, you’ve got plenty of options staying at The Stables. Make use of the eclectic bookshelf and read yourself silly on the sofa, or pretend you’re a TV chef in the fully equipped, and frankly stunning, kitchen – that is, if it’s too rainy to use the BBQ outside.
