Why we love it

Days walking in the woods or boating on the river, nights round the fire pit or under the lanterns on the balcony, with a visit to the dog café if they’ve been really good

What you'll love

Dogs will love

  • Long woodland walks and beach day trips
  • The dog café Paws for Tea in Steyning!
  • Splashing in the pond right outside

Humans will love

  • Relaxing in the beautifully crafted treehouse
  • Boating or kayaking on the Arun
  • Views from the balcony and the bath

The place

Beneath the Branches is a labour of love, hand-built by the owners who want you to experience the calm and beauty of their land. The multi-level design, waterside location and surrounding trees hung with lanterns give it a fairytale feel and you’ll be smiling from the moment you arrive. Blend adventure and indulgence with kayaking trips on the Arun or days at the beach, with afternoon BBQs on the deck and the views from the big bathtub to come home to. The dog will love a wander in the woods or a trip to the dog-friendly Fountain Inn a mile and a half away, but if they’ve been really good then head into Steyning and take them to Paws for Tea, a genuine dog café!
