Why we love it
Your very own little stretch of Welsh countryside, close to the coast, and with enough in the cottage to tempt you to never leave
"Our little rescue dog loved the quiet garden"
The cottage was glorious and relaxing. Our little rescue dog loved the quiet garden and even frolicked, which we haven't seen her do before.

The place
This cottage should come with a warning – that you may not ever want to go home. With an acre of enclosed garden, and encircled by trees – it’s lush with Welsh wild all around. Inside, the thick whitewashed stone walls create both an incredible aesthetic, but also fantastic practicality, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter. Once built for farmworkers, it’s been renovated with every detail you’d need. A large kitchen to pad around making incredible meals, or just endlessly grazing. A bathroom with a spacious waterfall shower, and deep roll-top bath. A garden, complete with the ‘green room’ a space to enjoy the garden in shelter – with a veranda for good measure, as well as a hammock for those lazy afternoons swaying with the trees. Book here and regret nothing.
In the neighbourhood
- Walk from the door: there are lots of dog walks from the cottage including the 'Donkey Walk' (details in the cottage welcome book)
- Cei Bach Beach, 22-minute drive. There are plenty of dog-friendly beaches nearby but the owner's favourite is Cei Bach at New Quay.
- Daffodil at Penrhiwllan, 11-minute drive. This dog-friendly pub is an ideal pit stop with a great wine list and good grub.
- Llanerchaeron National Trust Estate, 28-minute drive. A gorgeous Georgian villa, complete with a walled garden and wild parkland. Unaltered for 200 years, it’s a window in time and a stunning one at that. Dogs are welcome in the walled gardens, lake, visitor centre & café
