Dog-friendly holidays for Lazy Bones
There are some dogs who don’t want to do anything at all, except for snoozing away the hours or snuggling up on the sofa with their human by their side. They might like to have a quick sprint in the day around the nearby field or through the woodland, but their main aim is to get as much R&R as possible. Whippets, pugs, and Shih Tzus we’re looking at you! We’ve rounded up the best places in our collection to take your little Lazy Bones, where you’ll both find somewhere comfy to (circle round and round a while and then) lay down.

About Paws & Stay dog-friendly holidays for Lazy Bones
Where did Paws & Stay come from?
If you’ve ever been on a getaway to Europe, or a glamping holiday that left your mind blown, then you’ve probably already heard of Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars – our partner brands. Over the years we have been disappointed with what passed for ‘dog-friendly’ places to stay, so we created Paws & Stay to help people find better ones!
What makes a place right for Paws & Stay?
We’re a pretty discerning bunch – we vet (not THAT vet, don’t worry) every place that applies to work with us. We look for a range of different things, the kind of things that our customers are looking for – so that could be enclosed gardens, walks straight from the front door, or special items left for the dog. It’s different in every case – but it has to be dog friendly, not dog tolerant.
How do we know each place is good enough?
We use a tried-and-tested method, one that’s been around for millennia, arguably a formula that cannot be improved upon, adapted or evolved. We go and look. And of course, our trusted four-legged companion comes along too, and has a sniff at it. But this winning combo of human and dog has stood the test of time and performed admirably. It certainly works for us.
What makes the perfect spot for a Lazy Bones?
A Lazy Bones dog isn’t glued to the sofa all day every day. They love a little wander, perhaps a quick sprint round a field. So, whilst they might be looking for a place that allows dogs on the sofa, either au naturel or with a dog blanket, they might like walks straight from the front door, or a nearby dog walking field. But most of all, perhaps a little wood burner to show off their belly to at day’s end.
