Inspection at Paws & Stay
Every place is inspected by dogs
We know a true Paws & Stay place when we see it. And so do our dogs.
Every place in our collection has been personally inspected by our team of dog-loving travel experts, and their four-legged companions. We stay, explore, and get a real feel for each place so we can tell you about it honestly, not just based on what we see in a few photos.
We look for what really matters to dog owners
- Secure, enclosed gardens
- Welcoming hosts who genuinely love dogs
- Space to relax and unwind together
From testing the snooze-factor by the fire to checking the springiness of the lawn for fetch, our dog inspectors make sure every place is truly dog-welcoming without compromising on comfort or quality.
Introducing our inspectors
Meet some of our inspectors below, and find out what they get up to on an inspection for Paws & Stay.
Lottie & Liv
Lottie is a Cocker Spaniel with great taste (and great hair to match!). She loves to travel around the UK and sniff out the most stylish places to relax with her human – as well as local walks and adventures too.
Inspected Coed Llydan, Wales
“Rolling hills, fresh air, and endless trails made for the perfect adventure. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!”
Delphi & Bernice
There’s nothing Delphi loves more than getting outside with her pack – whether it’s running alongside the bike on forest trails, splashing in the sea or sniffing out adventure on the coast path. With buckets of energy, she’s an expert at helping us find special places for fellow nature-loving dogs.
Inspected Bosun’s Cottage, Devon
“Swimming on our own private beach made the perfect getaway! We loved the tranquil surroundings full of nature, and the 10-minute walk to the estuary perfect for paddleboarding and kayaking”
Arty & Lottie
Arty is the sidekick of travel writer Lottie Gross, so knows a thing or two about dog-friendly trips – he even starred on the cover of her first book, Dog Friendly Weekends. He can be a little bit anxious around people and other dogs, but that has never stopped him from making the most of every adventure and finding a ball to chase wherever he goes.
Inspected Sandy Toes Beach House, Kent
“A never busy beach right on your doorstep, beautiful walks to a nature reserve, and endless sea views from the living room where the fire roars in winter to keep you all warm. This is officially our happy place.”
