The place

Escape to Ebron, a hidden gem in Cornwall's stunning countryside just 20 minutes from the coast. This tranquil retreat offers a raised deck overlooking a stream in this quiet little valley. Seamlessly blending wilderness with comfort, Ebron lets you experience the magic of nature with modern comforts – with foldable walls, a cabin bed, modern bathroom, and gas hobs. Lounge on the spacious corner sofa or compete in board game marathons while savouring stove-cooked delights. Owners Matt and Rachel are on hand for the best tips and tricks to exploring the area, grabbing the very best of local produce or coastal walks for you and your dog to adventure on. Ebron’s meadow setting allows for a strong community vibe among guests, especially if you choose to hire other spaces on site. Unwind at the main barn when you want to all hangout or charge your devices, and indulge in snacks from the honesty shop when you’re in need of a treat!

  • 100 metres from nearest publicly accessible road. 5 metres to neighbouring properties and 50 metres to livestock
  • There are deer enclosed in the surrounding fields
  • There are other places on the same site, so lead up when you're heading out
  • There’s no wifi or charging sockets in the tent so either head to the communal barn to charge devices or enjoy being off grid

  • If you’re up for a quick jaunt, explore the country lanes, and patchwork fields with a leisurely stroll to the local church, and nearby, the holy well, which was built by the son of a Welsh King. Carved out of granite, it’s the largest holy well chapel in Cornwall
  • Embark on a delightful farm shop trail within a 20-minute car journey of Ebron. Discover a range of options like Hill Top Farmshop at Slaughterbridge, Boscastle farm shop with breathtaking views, or Cornish Coasts on the way to Bude. You can also visit Tre Pol and Pen, the largest farm shop in Cornwall, or Lifton Farm shop, featuring seasonal strawberry picking
  • Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the coastal path, where you can walk as far as you desire (or have the energy for!). A particularly scenic stretch is the Boscastle to Tintagel route. Or take on the Camel Trail, a traffic-free route spanning 17 miles, following the path of an old railway. Perfect for cycling or leisurely walks with your four-legged companion
  • Discover the captivating landscape of Bodmin Moor, offering miles of exploration opportunities. Climb the highest peaks in Cornwall, Roughtor and Brown Willy, or traverse the network of walking and cycling trails that crisscross the area. Take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy an active outing together
  • Indulge in a visit to Golitha Falls, a series of cascades nestled in ancient oak and beech woodland. Embark on a seven or eight-mile hike, starting from the car park on the east side of Sibblyback Lake. Immerse yourself in the natural splendour and enjoy a memorable adventure with your dog
  • As for dining, nearby there’s The Rising Sun, Altarnun, a 16th-century moorland inn offering local ales and a traditional pub atmosphere. It's a scenic 45-minute walk through the valley or a short ten-minute drive away. Jamaica Inn, Bolventor, awaits with tales of smuggling, and a literary museum. Lastly, The Port William, Trebarwith, offers incredible food and drink by the coast, with stunning beach views and easy access to the South West Coastal Path for a delightful walk with your dog.
