Close to town, but far enough for seclusion, be as busy or as lazy as suits, and do so in style

What you'll love

  • Seeking out the many smells of the estate, from meadow to woodland
  • Flopping about by the log burner
  • Running riot on the Brecon Beacons

Humans will love

  • Taking the evening off in the hot tub
  • Exploring all Hay-on-Wye has to offer
  • Living in unparalleled style

The place

Every inch of space on Cynefin Retreat’s estate has been carefully planned to make even the simplest experience an exercise in mindful living. From waking with the dawn chorus, early morning sun pouring in from the floor to ceiling windows, to midday snacks on the patio, or toasting the sunset in the hot tub – every area is a new space to kick back and relax in. Take your dogs for a tour of the meadows and orchards on site, or further afield to the Brecon Beacons for wilder wanders. Whether it’s a busy day out exploring or a quiet night in by the log burner – every moment’s been well thought out. And it's not just the time of day, but the season. Owner – Laura, ensures there’s something to enjoy year-round, marshmallows on the firepit, day trips to Hay-on-Wye or picnics in the meadow.
