Why we love it

In the heart of Kent, The Hop Barn is just a couple of hours from London, and under an hour from the coast. It’s the perfect spot to relax for a few days with the hound

What you'll love

Dogs will love

  • Cuddling up to you on the sofa
  • Strolling about in the shared enclosed paddock
  • Sniffing out their water bowl and treats

Humans will love

  • Being just a couple of hours from London
  • Walking through the orchard straight from the front door
  • Playing board games by the wood burner

The place

This hideaway is in the heart of Kent, surrounded by miles and miles of countryside to explore. Once a barn, the modern exterior hides the period features inside, with the original beams criss-crossing the walls indoors. These classic walls frame a light and airy space to spend a few days exploring the country lanes with your hound, returning to sit by the wood burner with a good book, and a tired dog in your lap. It’s under an hour to the sea if you feel like exploring the coast, but there’s plenty to do close by. There are walks through the local orchard straight from the front door, board games for the darker sky days and hampers available if you want to treat yourself to a luxurious breakfast one morning.
