Why we love it
Just a few miles from Dartmoor, in easy reach of the sea, and with an enclosed garden to yourselves, lie in the hammock, simmer in the wood-fired hot tub, and relax!
"There is lots of privacy"
Dogs will love the enclosed garden, and there is lots of privacy, with wild swimming and countryside walks nearby. The electric fire is great for dogs to curl up by, next to their humans.

The place
Just a few miles from Dartmoor, the Tiny House is tucked into its own corner of a field – giving you the privacy to kick back, relax and spend some quality time with your four-legged friend. You’re never far from the sea in Devon, so days out are plentiful nearby. You can take the dog to one of the many beaches in easy reach for a morning or afternoon on the sand and explore the local towns and fishing villages. Or if they’re not much of a salty sea dog, then you’re in the heart of the countryside, for easy strolls or some more challenging ones on the moors, just down the road. Whether you spend your time active and adventuring or restful and relaxed, you’ll be starting and ending it in the comfort of your place – with a modern kitchen to craft some delicious meals, a hammock for naps, a wood-fired hot tub for sunsets – and a king size bed to top it all off.
In the neighbourhood
- Walk from the door: If you walk down the lane to the cattle grid, then turn right down onto the bridleway you can walk straight into the woods. It can be muddy in the winter so wellies are recommended!
- The Dartmoor Inn, 15-minute drive: This award-winning inn serves classic pub fare, in a classic pub setting. It’s the perfect place to bring the dog for a spot of dinner or a Sunday lunch.
- Sandymouth beach, 45-minute drive: Dog-friendly all year round, Sandymouth Beach is a great spot to take the dogs for a morning or an afternoon to gallop around on the sand. There’s also The South West Coast Path just behind the beach for coastal strolls!
- The Tors Inn, 20-minute drive: Just down the road, The Tors Inn sits on the very edge of Dartmoor, the perfect spot to refuel after a long day of burning off energy across the moors!
