Dog-friendly holidays for Top Dogs

When this dog was a puppy, they were first to chase the ball. They don’t go with the pack, they’re out of the dog bed nice and early, sniffing things out before the rest of the litter. When it’s time for a holiday, they have their dog blanket packed and they’re ready to go – so they’re always on the lookout for the most popular spots and book them before anyone else chomps their dates up! Here’s our collection of places that will suit your Top Dog.

About Paws & Stay dog-friendly holidays for Top Dogs

Where did Paws & Stay come from?

We’re the youngest member of the family at Sawday’s, Canopy & Stars’ younger sibling. We were born out of the frustration of how difficult it is to find truly dog-friendly places to stay in the UK. In our (decades long) experience of finding places to stay, we noticed that often, places that called themselves ‘dog friendly’, when they were only ‘dog tolerant’, so we’re here to fix that!

What makes a place right for Paws & Stay?

The thing that makes Paws & Stay places so wonderful, and such an interesting collection to check out, is that they’re all different! Sure, many of them will have things in common. Loads have enclosed gardens, loads have walks straight from the front door. Many have items left for the dog, or outside taps to rinse muddy paws. But each and every one is different, the main thing is, they’re all dog friendly.

How do we know each place is good enough?

There is only one good way to find out, and that’s to go there! Every place that applies to work with us is checked out. We send along a human and dog inspector to every single one before it can join us, so we can get a feel of what it’s like to stay there. And to us, that’s the only way to know it’s good enough.

What makes the perfect spot for Top Dogs?

Top dogs are hard to please, but we love a challenge. Top dogs are the type to want everything sorted ASAP, they like to look to the future, planning where they’re going to go and excel next. They book those popular spots, long in advance, so they know, they’ve got something to look forward to on the horizon!
