About Paws & Stay dog-friendly holidays with secure gardens
Where did Paws & Stay come from?
Paws & Stay came about because of the rise in dog-friendly travel, and a team of dog owners who understood the frustration of finding the right place when travelling with their dog/s. We kept seeing a big difference between what people meant by the term dog friendly, and knew we wanted to demonstrate our genuine expertise in dog-friendly travel and help guests find truly dog friendly places to stay. So, we started looking for those places... and here we are, helping lots of dog owners find their ideal dog-friendly holiday accommodation.
What makes a place right for Paws & Stay
When we inspect places, we look not only for a genuine feeling of welcome for your dog, but for a place that will make humans smile as well. We work only with independent owners, who pour their passion and love into their places, who truly welcome dogs with arms wide open. We want to see a secure or enclosed garden, a quiet, secluded location, practical facilities for dogs, and maybe some nice extras for the dog in the way of treats and bowls, but also a place that has a real personality and gives you a feel for the part of the world you’ve chosen to holiday in.
How do we know each place is good enough?
We’ve inspected every single one of our places in person, with a dog. It’s the most important principle of how we work, because there’s simply nothing like being in a place to help us understand if it’s right for our guests and their dog/s. We stay overnight, so we can really see how the experience would be for both human and dog and note anything particulalrly special to highlight, or something important to make guests aware of. We then describe it clearly and honestly on site, so that you can make an informed decision on whether it's the right place for you.
