Dog-Friendly holidays by the experts

There’s just about nothing more irritating or disheartening than booking accommodation that says it’s dog friendly, and it turns out to be dog tolerant, or worse. That’s why we started Paws & Stay – to combat the tolerant, the dull and the underwhelming. We’re all about the joy of dog friendly, which is why there’s no need to check if our places to see if you can bring the dog. They’re all for you and your four-legged friend.

What sort of thing can you expect? You’ll find everything from dog-friendly cottages in town centres or rural spots, to remote dog-friendly cottages for those nervous or reactive hounds. You might find yourself some dog-friendly cabins – if you’re looking for that cosy hygge feel or even some luxury dog-friendly holidays if you’re looking to spoil yourself (and the dog).

We know taking the dog away can be tricky, which is why we asked you what was important. That’s why you’ll find places with enclosed gardens, or bowls left for the dog, dog blankets or even a tap outside for muddy paws! But it’s not just the hounds – we wouldn’t forget you either, so expect places with hot tubs, and outdoor baths.

About Paws & Stay dog-friendly cottages

What makes a holiday dog friendly?

If anyone should know, it’s us! Dog friendly is our speciality, and we don’t rest on our laurels. We asked you what you expected from a dog-friendly place to stay, and let it guide us in finding you amazing places. Are they all the same? No, they’ll vary, but you’ll see similar things, like enclosed gardens, walks straight from the front door, and things left for the dog to enjoy!

What will I find at my Paws & Stay place?

Like we said, it’ll change from place to place, but you can certainly expect to find what you need! Some spots will have those enclosed gardens for the dog to run happy circles in, and others will be perfect for those walks from the front door, with some even having an outdoor tap to do those little paws when you get back! And no matter what they have in common, they’re all amazing enough to stand out.

How do you know somewhere is a perfect Paws & Stay place?

There’s only one good way to find out in our books, and that’s to go there and check ourselves! Every place we take on board has been checked in person by a human inspector and a dog one too! This means we get to see that the beds are bouncy, the hot tub bubbly and the walks straight from the front door? Well, that they start right there.

Where can I go with Paws & Stay?

It’d almost be easier to tell you where you can’t go! We were only founded in 2021, but since then we’ve picked up hundreds of places to stay, all over the place. We have spots in rural Wales, the very bottom of Cornwall to the top of Scotland. We have spots all over the place – so pick an area and take a peek – we’ve got something for you!
